How do I find my Google Place ID?

Use Google's free Place ID Finder: search for your business and it shows your Place ID (a string like ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4). Paste that here to generate your QR code.

Where should I put the QR code?

Anywhere a happy customer will see it in person: a table tent, the bottom of a receipt, a flyer, a window sticker, a business card, or a thank-you card.

Can I resize it for printing?

Yes. Download the SVG version and it stays sharp at any size, from a business card to a poster. The PNG is best for quick digital use.
